Auto Parts: Engine and tranny interchanges, chevrolet cavalier, pontiac grand am

Question
Will the motor and tranny from a 1999 Pontiac Grand Am GT 3.4 Liter V6 DOHC go into a 1999 Chevrolet Cavalier LS 2.4 Liter 4 cylinder DOHC?

Hi Robert,

I'm sure it'll fit with tons of modifications but to answer your question, it was never designed to fit into a Cavalier. I would think the hub-to-hub measurement on the Grand Am would be slightly wider than that of the Cavalier making for a track issue not to mention the additional 600 pounds of cast-iron and aluminum.
