Auto Parts: VATS Code for 1992 Camero, security device, key card

My son lost his ignition key for his 1992 Camero and GM is saying that they no longer have record of the VATS Code.  Where can this be found?  I have the ignition key numbers. What's the cheapest way of getting a new key made?

Cheapest? Remove the Passkey system completely.

There is no way to reprogram or reset the system, after all, it is a security device. If you do not have the key, the resistance code or the original GM key-card, you will either have to disable the system completely or replace the steering column WITH KEY.
