Auto Parts: Temperature Sending Gauge Switch, coolant temperature sensor, nissan altima

Hello, I have a 93' Altima and i can't find the fan sensor. I bought the car 2 years ago and the radiator fans never work; the car ran just fine. I checked the fans and they are working so i guess the sensor failed or maybe the wires. Can you tell me were that sensor is and if I can replace it myself?  thank you,

Hi Bogdan. I think what you're asking for is the Coolant Temperature Sensor? If in fact you are it should be in-line of a small pressure looking hose coming off the side of the radiator more than likely. You can absolutely replace it yourself. Here is a link to a site to buy it and it will give you a picture of it so you can identify it easier under your hood. You may have to type it into your browsers address bar.
