QUESTION: i have a deville 2000 .    Can the "rsw-1-2w-1sp (5000 series)"   join the car security without cange the original one?

i want to replace the original remote with your remote (withe the same active keys (I.E.   Alarm ,trank)

ANSWER: Yes all that can be done & more when you add this
remote start/alarm/keyless system to your Cadillac.

However, you will also need to install a bypass kit
for the PASSKEY 3 system in your car. This will allow
you to bypass the transponder and do the door locks and trunk too.

QUESTION: Sorry for my mistake.    I want to use the new remote "rsw-1-2w-1sp (5000 series)  TOGETHER    with the original car remote.   2 systems  ,or use only the remote itself with my original system.

Can not use your old remote with that unit.
You would still be able to do all those functions with the 2 newer remotes
that the current remote does, but you will not be able to use the old
remote anylonger as it would conflict with the 5000's functions.

But the 5000's remotes can do it all just fine, and with allot better range
and reliablity the the old GM alarm/remote.

It simply takes over where the old one leaves off.
A new security/remote alarm/keyless entry with much better control.
