Car Alarms: anti theft alarm system, 2007 gmc yukon, gmc yukon

Question
My 2007 GMC Yukon will not start. I have tried both keys and the power comes on but will not start.  I have also tried the remote start lights flash but does not start. dash board stays lit with a car and a lock on it.  I was told by a dealership that it was the anti theft alarm system which you cannot override. do you have any suggestions.  I really don't want to tow it into a dealership without trying everything possible. I hope you can help me.

Answer
Not fabulous news I'm afraid.
Bottom line is you need to tow it to GM and have them
restore the vehicle to working condition if it's
they're remote starter. If the remote starter
was installed by an after market company, call them to evaluate
and repair.

But if no joy there either, I do sell a product here to
bypass it called the PKMUX. It's 99.00 but would still
need a technician to install it. Prefferably someone other
then the hack that installed it to begin with.

Try the following first:

The 30-Minute Learn Procedure

1. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.

2. Attempt to start the engine, then release the key to ON;
the vehicle will not start.

3. Observe the SECURITY tell tale light.
After approximately 10 minutes, the light will turn OFF.

4. Turn OFF the ignition switch, and wait 5 seconds.

5. Repeat steps 1 through 4 - two more times - for a total of 3 cycles of 10 minutes.
3x10 = 30 minutes. The vehicle is now ready to relearn the Passlock Sensor Data Code
and/or passwords on the next ignition switch turn from OFF to CRANK Important:

Turn the Ignition Switch OFF. The vehicle learns the Passlock Sensor Data Code
and/or password on the next ignition switch transition from OFF to CRANK.

You must turn the ignition OFF before attempting to start the vehicle.

6. Start the engine. The vehicle should have learned the Passlock Sensor
Data Code and/or password.

7. When done, take to a local shop With an ODB IIscan tool, clear any DTCs if needed.
History DT Codes will self clear after 100 ignition cycles. Without a scan tool
you may have momentary starter interruptions while history clears itself.

This is a temporary fix at best as you still have to figure
out why it happened in the first place, to prevent it from happening again.

Once done, I suggest you permenantly bypass using the PKMUX databus kit.

If however, it did NOT RESET, then get the PKMUX kit with 2 relays and sockets
to circumvent the NEW PASSLOCK system permenantly:

The installation notes for the project will be sent to your email after
payment is received and the equipment is sent by
3 day priority mail within 24 hours of ordering.

Please try the first part of this procedure as I suggested
and get back to me.

This is something you will need a tech for.
With a remote starter, and the no start issue you
are having, I am leaning towards the new PASSLOCK 2 system
in there is reacting to the bypass they installed to make
the two work together. And now, not so much.

Either way, make other plans today I think until you can
resolve it.
