Car Alarms: Replaced Car Battery Viper System No Longer Works, google search, fcc id

Question
Thank you in advance for your help! I have a 98 Ford Explorer with an after market Viper security system. I bought my car used and there is no manual for the security system. I replaced my car battery today and ever since, my FOB no longer works when locking/unlocking doors and my Red Light doesn't blink. The serial/other numbers on the back of my FOB are as follows:

FCC ID: EZSDEI476
RPN 476V
266 Codes

I'm assuming that I have to somehow reprogram or re-pair my remote to my system. I spotted a small black box under the dash on the drivers side, but I'm not sure if it's for the system as there are no identifying marks with the exception of a black & Grey button that says "push". I have a transmitter on the windshield that says Xhv. I attempted the fixes that I' e seen on Ehow etc and I'm at a loss. Sorry if I'm overdescriptive, just want to make sure I don't leave any important info out. Can you help me? After all of the problems I've had with my car this week and money I've already spent, I'm about ready to jump off a bridge. I will owe my life to you!

Thank You
