Car Alarms: Clifford key not working, ford ranger, key switch

My husband has 1999 Ford ranger with a Clifford key to start up the truck.It is not working so he is unable to start his truck.Is there a way to disarm this Clifford key switch? Or what are other options to solve this problem?
