Car Alarms: Kia Sorrento Passive alarm, kia sorrento, passive alarm

Question
Can I set the passive alarm to an active alarm. The doors lock and alarm resets about 10 seconds after you close the door. I have to have the transmitter in my hand constantly! My old car had a Chapman after market and it had a switch under the dash to set it. No one knows on my 2003 Kia Sorennto.

Same thing would apply to this one.
If no valet is available, then you would
need to get in there, remove,repair or replace
it. No magic wand here.

Most all alarms have passive/active setting in the features.
You'd need to ID the alarm, find the manual and then do as
it suggests to switch modes. Without it, no way.

So it's either that, or buy another you know
how to control, or live with the passive function.
