Car Alarms: 96 Honda Alarm system, honda accord, inset

Question
I have a 1996 Honda Accord.  The alarm system goes off very frequent and when a motorcycle goes by.  Can I reduce the sensitivity?

Answer
Don't worry, it's after market, and needs adjustment.

Not certain of the system, but MOST knock/impact
sensors have a wheel inset into it to turn up or down
(counter clockwise is down).

Locate the sensor under the dash and turn down or
simply unplug it. Should be a little oblong box
wire tied up high under the dash, and would
blink when it detects vibration.

Then turn down, check, turn down, check
to see if the level suits your needs,
and you'll be all set.

Good luck.
