Car Alarms: Cannot disable car alarm, valet mode, toyota celica

I put in a new battery in my 93' toyota celica and it reset the alarm in order to start the car I know I have to disarm the alarm. I used the toggle switch to put it valet mode which did not work because I found the wires had been cut. What can I do to override the alarm and start the car.

Ok then, get over to the local car alarm shop,
or even a Best Buys will
have a valet switch that will fit for your
alarm.

In the mean time, locate the 2 wires that were
connected and are hanging free.

Then twist together, turn on the ignition,
hold both wires to ground until the siren chirps.

That should reset and place the alarm into
over ride for now. Nothing accept the keyless entry
if installed will operate until you repeat the
same steps.

Then get a new switch and you're all set.
