Car Alarms: Jeep Alarm, grand cherokee jeep, shutting the doors

My 1998 Grand Cherokee Jeep Alarm will set on its own after an approx 1 minute from shutting the doors and exiting the vehicle. I will not set the alarm but it will set on its own. If lock your doors of course it will set the alarm like normal and if you unlock the doors than it will disarm like normal. It just sets on its own without setting the alarm. Can you give me some advice on how to disarm it or fix it.
