Car Alarms: Viper Car Alarm Problems, google search, viper car alarm

I have a 1999 Honda Civic that has a Viper Car Alarm. When i UNLOCK my car it beeps twice, when i LOCK my car it beeps once. The problem is that i was pressing random buttons on my keypad one day and the alarm did not beep at all when i locked or unlocked it. It simply turned into power locks with no activated alarm. Could you tell me how to fully activate the alarm and how to fully de-activate it?
