Car Alarms: 1998 Acura RL Alarm, acura rl, 1998 acura rl

The alarm on my 98' Acura RL goes off intermittenly. Also, I noticed that when I lock the car, manually or with remote, the security light on the door panel next to the door lock, does not flash. I've checked doors and hood and trunk contacts. They all looked fine. Can you tell me where to start? Thanks.

Hmmmm, Likely to be factory if it's the car's own horn honking.
However, if it's a siren and flashing lights, it's after market.

Ok, here's what I know...

Normally, putting the key in the drivers side door lock,
turning to the left, then to the right all the way
will unlock and disarm/reset the "OEM factory"
alarm system. If the disarm wire in the door
is broken or disabled, this needs repair
to get the control you need.

You could buy the chart for the car and try to disable
that way, but really, it appears the door switch
on the drivers side need to be inspected as the culprit
as it directly controls the OEM alarm
