Car Alarms: infamouse serpi star, dome light delay, bmw e36

Question
hi
i have the above installed on my bmw e36 1995, single button, black remote. everything works as it should with regard to locking / unlocking etc and all locks are fine by the key...but... when i first get out of the car to arm the system it will do its normal job of beeping twice and then lock the doors. Then about 3-4 seconds later i get a third single beep of the same tone. Later on at night, usually 12.30 am the alarm will trigger itself. Any ideas on this one ? I have read loads of forums etc and no-one has this....
please help ?

Answer
I think the current sensing part of the alarm is
"seeing" and open circuit on the door/dome light trigger wire.
Might be a delay when  the door is closed, and the interior
light is extinguished. Not uncommon. But the fix requires
either program the alarm to wait for a full minute
to allow for the dome light/door trigger to go off,
or, turn off the current sensing part of it (most
can not be done this way) and rely on the
shock/impact sensor.

Un reliable this way & not the best plan.

So basically the alarm
is seeing a 12 volt source and reporting same.
Doing it's job according to it's factory default
programming.

Break out the manual and see the
feature settings related to "dome light delay"
and apply.

Good luck.
