Car Alarms: Code Alarm sure start lx problems, response key, code alarm

Question
I have a 2000 Accord with an alarm that I had installed about 7 or 8 years
ago.  At first, the alarm went off randomly.  I tried adjusting the sensitivity,
but that didn't help.  This has been going on for awhile.
Then, a couple days ago, my remote stopped working.  It still lights up, but
nothing happens when I press any of the buttons.  The battery was checked
with a multimeter and it was good.  Unfortunately, I can't find the second
remote that I had.  I can turn the alarm off once I put the key in the ignition
and press the button next to the toggle switch, but the alarm turns back on
after the engine is shut off.  It got to the point where I just cut the siren wire
to disable that part of the alarm.
At this point, I think it's easier just to get rid of the alarm.  Is there a way to
permanently turn the alarm off or does the whole thing need to be
disconnected?  Are there any wiring diagrams available so I can disconnect it?

Answer
TRY VALET OVERRIDE FIRST TO RESET. WITH CODE ALARMS,
THE LED IN THE DASH IS ALSO LIKELY TO BE THE
THE OVERRIDE BUTTON AS WELL.

IT SHOULD PUSH IN AND OUT.

TRY KEY ON, PRESS AND HOLD IN THE LED BUTTON UNTIL
YOU GET A RESPONSE, KEY OFF.=RESET.

THEN IF YOU WANT TO REMOTE IT, GO TO WWW.WIREWERX.COM
AND GET THE CHART FOR THE VEHICLE SO YOU CAN REMOVE
EACH WIRE SAFELY.

GOOD LUCK.
