Car Alarms: hellfire alarm question, car alarm installation, alarmtek

I had a Hellfire alarm installed back in 1997.  I never received any information in it.  I am currently removing the system and found that a receiver had a 8 wire disconnect plug.  The question is did the installer disconnect this plug from something else and keep it?  Or was this harness part of the alarm system?
