Car Alarms: Marksman M12A Alarm Reset, little spring, flash 3

Hi there,

I have a Marksman M12A and the alarm was triggered by opening the door while armed. Now every time I disarm the alarm the LCD fob beeps 4 times and the parking lights flash 3 times. It's only supposed to beep twice and blink twice. I can't find how to clear the trigger in the owners manual or on-line anywhere. I know I can clear it by disconnecting the battery but I don't want to lose all my stereo settings etc...

Please help!

Try resetting it.
Do the following:
Turn on the ignition key, press and hold in the button
(little spring loaded micro button, red or black possibly)
until the alarm chirps 1 time. This should over ride
the system, and only the keyless entry part,
if installed, would still be operating.
The LED (light emiting diode) light in the dash
should also go on solid.=VALET/OVERIDE .

Then repeat it.

That should reset the system.
