Car Alarms: Mazda 2 car alarm, voltage spike, alarmtek

Question
QUESTION: When I lock my vehicle the alarm automatically arms. after 2 minutes or so the alarm sounds. It is factory fitted and had no problems till today. The vehicle is 5 years old. What is the issue and how can I solve it

ANSWER: Hmmm, factory alarms do not arm automatically.

Is it: Headlights flashing, car horn honking
and a worded SECURITY" light in the dash flashing?
(doubtfull since none of the notes show this
car as having a factory alarm system)=FACTORY

Or,

is it: flashing parking lights,
an LED in the dash area, and a siren
going off?= AFTER MARKET

advise you on a course of action
to take.

QUESTION: definatly factory fitted. horn honking & lights flashing.
no interior messages. could it have something to do with door sensors

Answer
Sure.
It's connected to the drivers and passenger door
switch. Turn left to disarm and ground
the factory alarm disarm wire, the right to unlock
and go.

If you are experiencing a trigger at 2:00 mins,
the alarm is "seeing" a voltage spike, either (+) or (-)
and is reporting it. Likely in this case it would be
either a dying battery, or a light or a door is open
(boot-trunk maybe?).

But it detects drain.

Any recent history on the battery?
