Car Alarms: 2000 explorer eddie bauer Theft light, ford explorer eddie bauer, explorer eddie bauer

Question
I just removed an asian wolf fm 2009 from a car we just bought, window modules were intermittent among other issues, my question is, after removal of the entire system, sometimes the car will not start without turning the key from off to run about 20 times, sometimes it starts right up, other times the theft light blinks rapidly and will not start, I did remove some kind of sensor that was attached to the alarm that was zip tied to the ignition key switch, doubt this is the issue, never did this when alarm was installed, only upon removal, After removal i was able to get all the windows and door locks to work again, I do not have remotes for this car only 2 keys, Is therre a factory alarm on this car?

2000 Ford explorer eddie bauer

Answer
It has 2 factory alarms.
Once controls the noise generating, headlight flashing
system, the other is the immobilizer/anti theft system
you are experiencing.

The PATS is your problem here.
The tranponder bypass used was either not removed,
was removed incorrectly, or has damaged the PATS.
(if damaged, it's a visit to Ford for repair/reset).

Stop into a local stereo/car alarm shop for evaluation
and repair.
