Car Alarms: k-9 viper alarm kia sportage, kia sportage, turn indicators

Question
Am installing an alarm on an 08 Kia Sportage. Wiring tech sheet indicates 2 + wires in headlight harness for parking lights. Alarm has 2 + wires for parking lights. connected, but am having problems. Both headlights flash when alarm is triggered but the turn indicators are only flashing on the passengers side. Do I need to use a relay as mentioned in the tech sheet?
