Car Alarms: Car alarm going off, brain box, impact sensor

Question
Ive had my car for about a week now but the past two days my alarm has gone off around 0435 am. The second time i was up and didnt see anyone or anything ner my car.The battery seems to be fine and i tried setting th alarm off and it took quite a bit of pressure to set it off so i dont think its the sensitivity. I belive the alarm is an ulta 2270  also has the remote starter. please let me know if you have any ideas on what could be causing it. thanks

Answer
It has a built in shock/impact sensor, and all things being
equal, would be the ONLY way it would set off. The alarm
also detects battery drain through the door triggers.
If the doors are not opening, and the dome light is
not going on at that time of the morning, I am leaning
towards a cat or small creature setting it off.

Solution, locate the brain, there is a white turn
wheel inset into the brain box. Turn counter clock wise
all the way. Then see what happens over night.

My experience is that the falsing will go away.
I am not fond of this type of sensor, as it depends
on undue vibration to set it off, and temperature, at times
can affect it as well.

An Ultrastart design flaw.

Try it. The brain is usually to the upper left or right
of the underdash steering column area.

Let me know what you discover.
