Car Alarms: i found a car alarm in a used acura integra i bought, need help, car alarm installation, alarmtek

Question
Hey, my question is this.

I just bought a 1995 acura integra 2-door RS. I noticed near the fuse box on the driver side of the car under the steering wheel there was a little black box named "Shock Sensor." There are somewires that have been jammed into a few empty slots in my fusebox that i assume are for this sensor. When i bought the car i was never told about a car alarm, or given a key for the alarm (the alarm has never gone off). There is also a red l.e.d light, that i know is not stock, attached to the dashboard (it lights up when door is opened). I guess my question is, can i salvage this system, by maybe buying a remote? Are these wires just jammed into the fuse box dangerous for my car, and thus, should i remove them?
