Car Alarms: 1998 Altima driver door actuator!!!!, lock switch, junk yard

Question
The FOB locks,and unlocks all but the driver door.How can
I test if it is the actuator? I just bought the car,could
someone have disabled the alarm,and somehow affected the
operation of the driver's door? I exchanged batteries,and
the car wouldn't start.To make a long story short,I found
I had to use the FOB to either,lock,or unlock the door
before it would start.The question being,I need to know if
I need an actuator?

Answer
I'd say go to get a door lock switch first at a junk
yard. Actuators do not burn out often.
It's usually attributed to the door lock electronics.

Hard to tell if an actuator is needed if all of
the others are fine. Leads me to think the switch
is bad.
