Car Alarms: escort factory alarm, black key, alarm sounds

hello, i have a 96 escort which just has a key with a chip in it. my problem is i cant get the alarm to deactivate, all i did to set it off was lock the driver side and then unlocked the car using the passenger side, now the alarm sounds and hazards flash whenever a door, boot, bonnet is opened or ignition is switched on. i have tried locking and unlocking both doors in all kinds of different sequences with the black key and the red key but nothing works. my last resort was to unplug the horn in the boot but my hazards wont stop flashing. my car will still start and run tho. please help me in anyway, adam

Odd. According to my notes, this vehicle (US VERSION)
does not have a factory immobilizer in the ignition.
This makes my advice a guessing game.

It's likely the UK version does have an immobilizer due to the
laws in your country. Try writing to my tech in Dublin to
see if he can assist with this for you.
