Car Alarms: Scytek Galaxy 5000rs-2w issue, galaxy 5000rs, honking

Hi,

I recently had this system installed, however, I went to disarm the system this morning and after it was disarmed I opened the door and the horn started to honk repeatedly even though the alarm was not on.  I tried to turn it off and it takes 10-15 seconds for the system to react as I can arm/disarm or lock/unlock the doors while the horn is honking and nothing happens.  Any ideas?

It sounds like the factory alarm needs to be addressed
on this car to compensate for your after market system.
There is usually a disarm wire in the vehicle that
needs to be grounded.

Have your installer look into it so they do not conflict.
