Car Alarms: Operation of an alarm system, galaxy 2000, remote start

We just bought a used car that has an Scytek alarm on it but we have no idea how to operate it and cant find a number on it.  The best way I can describe it is it has a front screen, antenna with two buttons at the top- one has a key and one is a picture of a lock on it.  On the side it has 3 buttons, one with a Trunk, one with an *, and one with a C. Is it possible for you to tell me what those are for or where to get instructions on how to operate it.

Yes ma'am. This is the 2 way remote that Scytek uses
for many of the systems. Please go the the download
section at www.scytek.net , and look at the pdf file for
the Galaxy 5000 2 way system.

In that file is the explaination you seek.
If your's is a car alarm/keyless entry and remote start,
then the 4000 & 5000 are what you want to look at.

If only an alarm and keyless, the ASTRA 777
and if no alarm, but remote start only, look
at the ASTRA 1000 2 way or the Galaxy 2000 2 WAY.
