Car Alarms: my alarm, valet mode, dash area

Question
I have a 99 eclipse with an after market alarm. i bought the car around dec 5, umm last night i tried to push the button for the alarm and nothing happened and this has never happened before. I took off the alarm from my battery and it still went off its not allowing me to start my car what are my options and yes im very willing of taking the alarm right out of my car...whats stopping it from starting?

Answer
Did you check and replace the remote battery?
Was the alarm in over ride mode and needed resetting?
Hard to tell from here, but when you powered down
the system and re powered it, it went into default
alarm mode, also engaging the starter kill relay installed.

To start, look under the dash area for a button or,
a toggle switch. When you locate it, turn on the
ignition key, press and hold in the button (little
spring loaded micro button, red or black possibly)
until the alarm chirps 1 time. This should over ride
the system, and only the keyless entry part,
if installed, would still be operating.
The LED (light emiting diode) light in the dash
should also go on solid.=VALET/OVERIDE

This stops the alarm except for the keyless
entry if installed. The next step is to
either remove the alarm or, try to identify,
and get new remotes for it. To get the notes
for removing it, go to www.wirewerx.com .

But once in Valet mode, it will allow the car
to start and operate like there was no alarm at all.
Repeat these steps to return to user mode when
done.

Let me know how it goes.
