Car Alarms: passlock2 help, security light, auto start

I have a 99' grand am gt i am putting in an auto start i am at the part about bypassing the security. i have cut the yellow wire and had to put it back together cuz i needed to use car before i could hook-up bypass system and now my security light stays on but the car starts and runs fine what dose this mean. can i continue to connect bypass or do i have issues with security now?

If you tripped the light, not certain if you should complete it.
I would consider taking it to GM to evaluate this
issue.

I can't say for certain what you should do.
