Car Alarms: Chapman Car Alarm, valet mode, little spring

Question
QUESTION: 1999 Miata came with Chapman alarm.  Remote has only "Arm" and  "Disarm."  Other controls are two hidden switches, one a two position toggle, the other a spring loaded button.

The alarm drains my battery, so I need to turn it off.  No manual available, finding one would be great.

ANSWER: Hmmm,
  Not a good thing, no.

To start Frank, turn on the
ignition key, press and hold in the button (little
spring loaded micro button, red or black possibly)
until the alarm chirps 1 time. This should over ride
the system, and only the keyless entry part,
if installed, would still be operating.
The LED (light emiting diode) light in the dash
should also go on solid.=VALET/OVERIDE

If it's a toggle valet over ride, key on,
flip the switch, key off to reset.

This stops the alarm except for the keyless
entry if installed. The next step is to
either remove the alarm, or try to identify,
and get new remotes for it.
(www.keynfob.com / remotesunlimited.com etc...)

But once in Valet mode, it will allow the car
to start and operate like there was no
alarm at all. Repeat steps to put into user
mode.

It should be removed though since you
are experiencing a battery drain now,
and it could only get worse.

Let me know how it goes.

QUESTION: Where can I find instructions on removing the alarm?

Answer
You can get the wiring chart for your car
at www.vehiclewires.com and retro fit the
system that way, or I looked this
up, and it might be helpful
for you to contact them for some help.
