Question
QUESTION: nissan maxima....1990..automatic...4D...factory installed alarm...it starts without any reason..about 20 times a day..it happens when i am riding also...I want to permanently disengage it forever as this problem is giving me too much trouble with my neighbours,,,I have tried pulling fuse and its relay in the hood..didnt work...pleeeeease help me..

ANSWER: I need to determine whether it's a factory alarm
issue or, if it's an aftermarket system you are
dealing with.

Many veriables on this vehicle &
I Require a bit more imput please.

Is it: Headlights flashing, car horn honking
and a worded SECURITY" light in the dash flashing?
Or,
is it: flashing parking lights,
an LED in the dash area, and a siren
going off?

Let me know more on this to better
advise you on a course of action
to take, to help you to fix this
situation you're in quickly.

QUESTION: Robert, its a factory built alarm not an aftermarket system.

and it is : head lights flashing and horn honking with highbeam sign flashing in the dash........

Answer
Ok, Normally, you would insert the key in
the drivers door, turn left, then right
to disarm and reset it. If yours is malfunctioning,
you can disable it for good by doing the following:

The FACTORY ALARM DISARM WIRE IS
lt.green/black with silver dots |-|at the
anti-theft module. The Anti-theft module located to
left of steering column.
Says Theft Warning on module.

Once Located, splice into this wire with
a simular guage wire, and put it to
a solid chassis ground. This terminates
the alarm functions entirely.

However, at this point, this car would be exceedingly
easy to steel, so I suggest you get an aftermarket
alarm system to protect it from here on in.

Have a good day.
