Car Alarms: Jeep Grand Cherokee not starting, jeep grand cherokee, electronic fuel pump

Question
In December, I had Viper 771 installed on Jeep Grand Cherokee. I have returned from an extended business trip and found my Jeep would not start. I removed battery and alternator. Battery was discharged, so I had recharged. Alternator was overcharging so I replaced. When put battery and alternator in, lights and alarm came on. I turned the ignition switch on and nothing happened. I removed starter, had tested. It was good. When I turn ignition nothing happens. When I use remote start, I hear some whirring electrical noise (probably electronic fuel pump engaging) and then a click at the starter. But engine does not turn or starter attempt to rotate or engage. Is it possible that the Viper remote start has locked the vehicle in a disabled state and if so is there something I can do to reset. I have looked for a switch inside and can't find one that may help me reset. Any suggestions?

Answer
Sorry, If you did not notice, there is a link to the
DEI/Hornet/Python/Viper/Clifford Q&A forum On the site
you just came from. Was It not functioning?
If not, I'll double check that link right away.
In the meantime, you should take this inquiry
to the 12 volt installers forum.

Let me explain.

I am not the Viper tech in the ALARMTEK family.
My friend and collegue TWELVOLTZ is the
man on these issues.

Please take this question to my
resident DEI/Hornet/Python/Viper/Clifford
tech at my online 12 volt installation
forum at:

Good luck with it.
