Car Alarms: viper 5002 - no signal, fcc id, grand cherokee

Question
I have a viper 5002 alarm system installed on a 96 grand cherokee. I had to do some work on the car and afterward when I push buttons on the remote all I get is the 3-4 chirps and the display saying no signal. I'm assuming it needs to be reprogramed. could you tell me how to do this or offer other advice. fcc id:EZSDE1489 The help would be greatly appriciated.
