Car Alarms: 1992 GMC Vandura ignition kill alarm, gmc vandura, 1992 gmc vandura

The van sat for 3 weeks in some freezing temperatures and a couple snows.  I return from vacation to find a new feature to the van.  It is equipped with an alarm that will not allow me to start the vehicle.

I have a toggle switch under the dash I believe is a part of the system as well.  I tried ignition to the on position, switch on ignition off, to no avail.  Any other tricks?

Answer
No That is the only trick.
Key on, flip the switch, key off.
Resets most basic systems.

If no happiness at that point, you will need
to fish out the alarm, and disable it, and
then remove the relay on the starter wire,
reattatch the 2 ends of the cut starter wire,
then start the Van up.

That's all I can offer without inspection first hand.
