QuestionHad my alarm disconnected and now the transmission does not shift smoothly. Does the security alarm tie in with the transmission? It is a factory installed alarm.
Thank you,
Dave

-----Question-----
1998 Mitsubishi eclipse keyless entry. The alarm goes off by itself and won't go off.
-----Answer-----
May need to be reset.
Please tell me what you are experiencing.
I need to determine whether it's a factory alarm
issue or, if it's an aftermarket system you are
dealing with.
Many veriables. More imput please.
Headlights flashing, car horn honking?
Or, is it flashing parking lights, and
a siren going off?
Let me know more on this to better
advise you on a course of action.

AnswerFrom the sounds of it, there was a wire cut that was not supposed to
be. Probably an accessory wire that powers
a transmission module. Check all master
fuses as well, but it does sound like no power
going to the transmisson module.
May have unplugged a wire that needs to be
plugged back in perhaps?
