Car Alarms: 1998 Mitsubishi eclipse keyless entry, mitsubishi eclipse, car horn

Question
Had my alarm disconnected and now the transmission does not shift smoothly. Does the security alarm tie in with the transmission? It is a factory installed alarm.
Thank you,
Dave

1998 Mitsubishi eclipse keyless entry. The alarm goes off by itself and won't go off.
-----Answer-----
May need to be reset.
Please tell me what you are experiencing.
I need to determine whether it's a factory alarm
issue or, if it's an aftermarket system you are
dealing with.

Many veriables. More imput please.

Headlights flashing, car horn honking?
Or, is it flashing parking lights, and
a siren going off?

Let me know more on this to better
advise you on a course of action.

Answer
From the sounds of it, there was a wire cut that was not supposed to
be. Probably an accessory wire that powers
a transmission module. Check all master
fuses as well, but it does sound like no power
going to the transmisson module.

May have unplugged a wire that needs to be
plugged back in perhaps?
