-----Question-----
1994 bonneville, car will not start, thought it was fuel pump...NOT....300 dollars later car still will not start. door locks on remote will not lock doors, but the trunk button does work...where is the alarm located?
-----Answer-----
This car has 3 issues at first thought.

First and foremost,
the GM VATS system in the ignition column.
The trick there is to make certain the chip
in the ignition key, is being read by the VATS
(Vehicle Anti Theft System). If you lost the
programing, take it to GM to have them reset
and reprogram. They are the only game in town
for that particular issue.

The second thing that comes to mind is the factory
alarm system. But the headlights would be
flashing, and the horn honking if this were the
trouble. From what you said earlier, this is probably
not the trouble.

Last idea I have is that it is an after market alarm
holding you back. If this is the case,
there will be an overide switch under the dash
area, and LED in the dash blinking, and
a siren blarring. If this is the case,
try this.
Put the key in the ignition, and turn forward
all the way just before cranking. Then within
5 seconds, locate, press and hold in the
valet/overide button, found under the
dash area, (push button, spring loaded)
until the installed LED (the blinking light)
in your dash area goes on solid,
and the siren chirps once.

(Your valet switch might be the toggle
(on/off) type. in this case, key on,
flip switch in opposite direction,
then turn the key off.)

This should reset the alarm, and reset
the grounded relay on the starter wire,
allowing you to start the engine.

At this point, the only thing working would
be the keyless entry from the alarm,
if it came equipped that way.

Just Repeat these steps to place it
back to usable armed mode.
You may get 2 chirps, confirming it,
and the lights may flash twice as well.

That should do it.
If you want to remove it at this point,
take it to your neighborhood installer
for this, or buy the wiring chart
(Go to: www.vehiclewires.com)
for the vehicle, and reverse engineer it wire
by wire, until safely removed.

That's my first take on it.

Let me know which is what applies to your
issues.

Answer
Hmmm, this one is a puzzle. If it
were the VATS system, you would not
be able to start the car at all.

Still, I have to say it's the VATS
since you've allready done the fuel pump.

Checked the injectors? Probably.

Best bet is to go to the GM/Pontiac shop
near you for a full diagnostic. They will
definately tell you what happened.

Good luck on it.
Wish I had more for ya.
