Car Alarms: 1997 Toyota factory power locks cycle repeatedly, alarmtek, toyota camry

Question
I own a 1997 Toyota Camry LXE with the factory installed alarm system (not port or dealer installed).  The conductive spots and the graphics on one of the transmitters wore out years ago, so I purchased another transmitter and swapped the rubber membrane.  Months later, whenver that transmitter was close to car, the power locks would repeatedly and randomly cycle in the unlock mode without any buttons being depressed.  I put the membrand on the new circuit board and learned how to substitute that transmiter by shorting pins in the power mirror connector. About 18 months later, that transmitter's proximity would also cause the power "unlock" to cycle.  When I use one of the two original transmitters there is no problem.  What might be causing this.  Is there some way that the transmitter is transmitting although no buttons are depressed.

Answer
It appears so, anything from Temperature changes
expanding the plastic and membrane causing the circuit
to stay open, to simply preasure from the casing and the sensetivity level of the remote's circuits.

My suggestion is to replace it with updated technology.
Then you can discount that event from happening
and not constantly to be having
to service an old and ailing security system.

Your call though. Might need to replace the remote
again if you can not make any change to it.

I hope this helped.
