Car Alarms: Ford Ranger alarm system/, ford ranger, dome light

Question
Ok my truck has the handles shaved of, and it has a latch where you can open it on the bottom. but from where the handles are shaved the are no locks and when i set the alarm it doesnt go off if you open it. So how do i set the alarm to go off when the door opens so some one wont steal my audio and stuff?

The alarm will have a door trigger wire, usually
a door trigger is also the dome light wire. The
alarm will see this wire go to Possitive when the
door opens, which will then trigger the alarm.

Go to www.wirewerx.com to get the wiring chart for
your vehicle if doing this yourself, or take
it to the local stereo/alarm shop to have them do it.
