Car Alarms: chrysler manufacturer alarm system, alarmtek, green orange

Question
My husband has been working on our 95'lebaron chrysler for over a week. The problem is...he cannot keep the car running as the manufacturers alarm system will not shut off. He has tried many times trying things.  Can you help us? thanking you in advance

Answer
Cart before the hourse here Kathy.

Have your husband locate the FACTORY ALARM DISARM
WIRE which is light green/orange |-|in the
drivers door harness. This can either be accessed
in the wire pack coming into the car from the door,
or in the door itself. Once found, splice into it, and put
it to a solid chassis ground.

That eliminates the factory
alarm system. If the aftermarket system you have is also
a remote starter, it would have a (-) output to disarm
factory alarms as well. Look in your manual, and if it
exsists, use this wire instead of permanantly grounding
the factory wire so it works in conjunction with the
factory alarm, as opposed to in conflict with.

Then continue to install your aftermarket system as suggested from the manufacturer. Should be fine now.

Let me know what you find, and how it goes.
If you want my notes / data chart to install systems
for this car, it's only 3.99 at www.VEHICLEWIRES.com
and will be helpfull.
