ok thanx.  I actually have another question.  What do you mean by a bad ignition connection? Because I have actually had some problems with starting my car and the starter was replaced several times and still does the same thing.  They say I may need a neutral safety switch..? I have no idea but would that even have anything to do with it?

Answer
When I say connection, I mean the alarm has a wire that
requires a "switched" or "on with the key" connection
to detect when the car is on or off for the alarm to act right.
If the connector that puts the wire from the alarm,
to the wire in the ignition column is bad, (bad crimp
for instance) then the alarm could be confused
and not respond to remote commands.
Check this.

Then if that brings no joy, replace the alarm with
one that works. Sounds like a bad control mondule
or installer error. Not having a nuetral safety
switch would not effect the performance of a car
alarm system in any way.

I hope this was clearer.
