Car Alarms: Hi there! Hope you can help..., button press, toad

Hi there! Hope you can help with this. We paid to have a Toad Ai606 fitted in our vehicle before we picked it up. It was done miles away from  us so it's not practical to take it back. The alarm does not 'chirp'. There is a button press that can suppress the sound, but no instructions to get it. Maybe it hasn't been wired correctly; no soldering has been done, and the main unit has been just pushed behind the heater, not fixed to anything. We were not given a wiring diagram, so can't check it. Thanks for your time.

The best suggestion here then is to make arrangement with
TOAD directly to have some service done at a local
dealer, since they're product was incorrectly installed
and explained. I am certain they will be interested
in this. I however can't help with that since I am
in the states, and have not seen this alarm and have
little or, no info that would be usefull here.
