Car Alarms: remote starter, vw jetta tdi, amp relays

Question
I have installed a Black Widow BW6150N remote starter into my 2001 VW Jetta TDI.
Problems:
1. Transponder signal loop only seems to work when taped to the key surface of the ignition switch.
2. having difficulty disabling starter to prevent my wife from activating starter when running.

3. Not sure, but my wife complains that door locks sometimes unlock when remote start is activated.

4. Car sometimes beeps when remote started.

Car has factory alarm and remote door locks and windows etc.

I am a 15 year technician and have access to all tools and wiring diagrams.

Black widow/DCL have not responded to any of my 5 e-mails over 3 months.

Answer
Yeah, I don't know the Black Widow people,
but it's not surpising you get no aftersale support.

The transmod is a "sweet spot" kind of device, so that one is finese. You have to find the spot where you are able to remote start every time, then if need be, affix in place with epoxy. then it won't float.

Intermitancy in not unsuall in this car because of the computer self diagnostic pulse Volkswagon uses.
Messes with aftermarket, current sensing (car alarms) systems. Plus this car aint easy. As a technician courtesy, these are the notes I have to install a system to your car. I would go over it again for bad grounds, correct connections and locations etc...

NOTEs:  This vehicle has an immobilizer system that needs
to be bypassed when adding remote start.

*1 The drivers door module is located in the drivers door.

*2 A double pulse will unlock all doors and disarm the factory alarm.

*3 The passengers door module is located in the passengers door.

*4 This wire will read the dome light delay.
The avoid the dome light delay, use the separate door trigger
wires and diode isolate each one.  They are brown/white and are
all located in their own door at their own door module.

*5 The comfort module is the main control module
located under the drivers side of the dash.

*6 The 4 cylinder tach wire is green with a stripe.
The 6 cylinder tach is either purple with a stripe,
or black with a stripe.

*7 The windows can be rolled up and the sunroof
closed by extending the door lock pulse.
ALARMTEK recommends that you only use a validity
channel to roll up the windows.

Done!
