Car Alarms: 94 gm keyless entry, gm keyless entry, gm goodwrench

Question
How do I set the alarm to valet, we killed the battery and I cannot figure out how to turn the alarm off.  94 chev suburban gm goodwrench keyless alarm. I thought it was turn on key  press button  start vehilce flip switch to valet.

doesnt work, self activates alarm after 20? seconds.

NOT SURE OF THE ALARM, BUT TRY THIS:
KEY IN AND TO THE ON POSITION, THEN
FLIP THE VALET SWITCH, THEN TURN KEY OFF.
IF THIS DOES NOT DO IT, YOU NEED TO CONTACT GM.

I DON'T KNOW THE
SYSTEM SO IT'S MY BEST GUESS.
