Car Stereos: cd player, 2006 pontiac g6, pontiac g6

I have a cd stuck in my 2006 pontiac g6 single disc player when i push eject it act like it want to come out but it dont. i was wondering what to do to get it out? i want to put a touchscreen cd player in there but i dont know if it is going to work rite or do i need to get another factory cd player?

Hi Pam,

First and easiest thing to try, which probably won't work, but is worth a shot, is to remove the stereo fuse from the car, wait about 30 seconds, and then put it back.

Then try again.  Sometimes, a reset is all the unit needs.

If it still doesn't come out, something is bent or broken, and the deck will likely need replacement.  In that case, you'll have to disassemble the old deck to get the CD that's stuck in it out if you care about that CD.
