Car Stereos: car stereo, mitsubishi diamonte, wont drain

i have a mitsubishi diamonte 03 i put a artermarket radio in and the yellow memory wire keeps draining my batt. i tried running a power wire straight from batt to memory and that didnt work . what do i do next?

Robert, If the yellow wire is connected properly, and your battery is being drained, your radio has a malfunction.  The yellow wire does not normally draw enough power to drain the battery.  To keep the yellow wire from draining the battery, you could hook the yellow wire up to where the red wire is connected.  The memory wont work, but it wont drain the battery either.  Hope this helps, Scott
