Car Stereos: Nextar nc990c, fuse, few minutes

I can not get any cd to load into the system.. everytime i enter one it states error 1 and wont feed out the cd. just wondering if there is anything that i can do with this thanks

Hi Trevor,

Error 1 generally means the CD was unreadable.  If it does this with all of your CDs, either the lens is dirty, or it's broken.

First thing to try though is to pull the radio fuse from the car, wait a few minutes, and put it back.  Sometimes a good reset will fix things up.  (If your radio has an antitheft code, make sure you have that before doing this.)

Second is to buy a laser cleaner.  Sometimes that's all it needs.

If neither of those do it, you are looking at repair/replacement.
