Car Stereos: 6 disk CD changer, mercury cougar, disk error

I have a 6 disk cd changer in a mercury cougar, it recently started not playing my cd's and giving me a disk error and it will not eject or load cd's either....what should I do?

Hi Kayie,

The problem with CD changers is they are very finicky and are prone to giving up after a while.  If there are any discs stuck in it, try opening it, (or having someone who knows what they're doing open it), and removing them, cleaning any moving parts and regreasing any greased moving parts, and putting it all back together.

Other than that, unfortunately, your only reasonable other option is to replace it.
