Car Stereos: Sub Install, enclosure volume, volume size

Question
I have 2 8in BASS Series subs rated at 325rms, 650 peak. They don't provide a enclosure volume size and don't know how to figure. Also would like to know if wired to a 2ohm load, what does this do to the wattage required to power properly.  THNX

Answer
Hi Ray,

8" subwoofers don't need much airspace.  It also depends on the sub type, frequency response, and box type.  For sealed, 8" would do well with right around 1 cu ft of airspace (per sub).  You'll wanna make sure each sub has its own sealed airspace, too.  Don't let them share.

If you put the two subwoofers in parallel, any amp that can handle 2ohms and 3-500 or so watts should do just fine.
