Car Stereos: car amp, car amp, channel amp

Question
I have a 1991 grand am and want to put a sub, amp, speakers, and deck in. The ones ive chosen will all fit but im wondering if my amp can power everything. My subs have 1100 max watt and 600 RMS cont. and has 4 ohms. My speakers are 60 RMS cont. and 300 max and my deck is 50 peak and 22 RMS cont. for each speaker and it has a sub preampt out. And my amp is 1200 watt peak and is continous brigdeable at 1200 will the amp power everything.

Answer
Hi Peter.

So let me get this straight you want to run all your components and your sub using one amp?.

this will not be possible unless your amplifier its a 5 channel.

if you connect the subs and speakers on that amp you will have to set the crossover either for lowpass, highpass or full. your door speakers will work either on high or full but not in low, and your subs will not work on full or on high, the best thing to do on this case its to use your radio to power up the door speakers and use the amplifier to power up the subs, but i would highly recommend that you get a 4 channel amplifier for your door speakers later on, unless you are a bass guy, i always like to put at least twice the power on my mids and highs, so if im running a 1000 watts to the sub i like to run 2000 watts to the components, but its really up to you, just try it like that for now, if you decide that you need more mids and highs get yourself a 4 channel amp.

hope this helps.
Regards.
