Car Stereos: car radio, continuous rain, antenna wire

I have a Dodge 2002 Stratus.  The car radio (from Dodge) plays for a few seconds then becomes so static that you can not hear anything. This happens both on AM & FM, all stations. It seem to started after 4 days of continuous rain. (Don't know if a coincidence).  Outside antennae seems okay. I checked trunk and wire seems to be attached.  Any suggestions?

Sorry for the delay i have been receiving so many questions lately cant answer them all :"S.

sounds like the radio its damaged. but i will look for defects on the antenna wire it might be that the water managed to get into the antena's wire and maybe it got rusted maybe?. but if you checked everything and everything its right i would take the radio out and have it bench tested if the problem duplicates then that leaves one option, radio damaged.

i hope this helps, sorry im not able to determine what the problem is im almost pretty sure that the radio its gonna be the issue.
