Car Stereos: Buzzing, coke bottle, toyota camry

Question
QUESTION: Hey i have a Toyota camry. One of my friends put his coke bottle in my back dash and it leaked into my speaker. Now my whole system makes a buzzing sound that is really loud. The sound is even there when the radio is off. So i just took the radio fuse out. Can you please help me.      Thank you

ANSWER: Coke leaking into a speaker wouldn't likely cause this problem, although I've seen stranger things...Does your car have a factory or aftermarket amplifier installed in the rear??? Could the Coke have leaked into the amp?
Does the sound follow the RPM of you engine...e.g. get's higher when the RPM's are higher??? The noise disappeared when you pulled the fuse?

QUESTION: The car has nothing after market except the CD player it self. All i know is when i found the coke bottle it was almost empty and it was right over my rear right speaker. I don't even think that my car has an amp. I think the speakers run on the CD player internal amp. The buzz does change a little with the RPMs. When i turn the radio on and up you can't hear the music but the buzzing changes. Yes the buzzing did stop when i pulled the fuse.

Answer
I would try unplugging the speaker that took the Coke bath to see if the noise disappears. I think it's highly unlikely that the Coke caused this problem and unfortunately this is not something I could troubleshoot in a forum like this. I would recommend taking it to a shop with a qualified MECP installer and let them take a quick look. I suspect there is a deck problem or deck installation problem.
